Rambling And Bitching:

I've been thinking lately about how much it sucks to be a runner in your 40's.

The 40-49 male age group seems to be the most competitive of all!

Looking at my last race, I'd have needed a 18:33 5K time for a 1st place age group award, yet the winner of the race finished in 17:06, which means I would have had to place 4th overall in the race, just to pick up a 1st place age-group medal, and this was what was considered to be a "small" race, with 143 entrants.

I mean seriously, how many people can run a 18:33 5K? Not too many, certainly not I, as of yet, and the foreseeable future.

On a positive note, I set a new PR on my treadmill yesterday, which proves my racing skills are still improving. This despite all of the over-indulgence of food, staying out late, the extra stress level etc. that accompanies the holiday season, although I did have to turn down a lot of party invitations to pull that one off, and not become a total human garbage disposer of cookies and the junk food platters floating around.

But I worry nonetheless, because I know there is a wall out there where I will peak, and not be able to get past. It'll be all downhill from there, and as a competitive person, I wonder how that will affect me mentally?

But on a positive note, there is no sign of that yet. I fully intend to pick up my first age-group award sometime in 2009. I'm already fast enough to have had slower runners ask me for advice, on how they can be "as fast as me."

Now, I'll bitch about politics. It pisses me off to no end to see these Israeli Jews bomb the shit out of the Palestinians, all under the guise of "fighting terrorism."

Their kill ratio is what, about 50:1?, yet they still get all the sympathy since they control all the media.

And we had previously demanded the Palestinians hold Democratic elections, after the Jews poisoned and killed Yasser Arafat. So what did they do? Cater to our whims, and hold Democratic elections. But since Hamas won the election, our government says "Well, we don't like them guys, we want Democratic elections that don't include Hamas, we want people that will kiss Jew ass."

I think it has gotten pretty ridiculous. I've even heard the term "Anti-Semite" hurled at former President Jimmy Carter for his book, "Peace, not Apartheid."

That is insane, I mean come on, I think the man had almost a fetishistic obsession to bringing about peace in the Middle East, and wanted that to be his legacy, and yet those blood-thirsty Jews will treat him like that, and they are currently going on another blood-lust mission.

Well, that's all I have for now, keep on training because we will be fighting these Jews on our own turf now, and it will only escalate from here.

Now, many people might be asking at this point, "Oscar, why are you concerned about these Palestinians?" Well, in a way I am jealous of them, because they at least realize they are being systematically destroyed by the Jews. Most white people don't realize the same thing is happening to them, just not so much in your face with guns and bombs, tanks, and war planes, or else they would wake up to what is going on a lot quicker.
